Howard T. Kaufman

Howard T. Kaufman, CPA/PFS, CFP® has received extensive training with working with small business owners with over 46 years of experience as a practicing CPA. His expertise is in small business accounting and tax, with a focus working with medical and professional service industries. Over the years he has seen how people have planned for their future and the real-life outcome of their choices. His experience has proven that conventional, main-stream strategies may not be the best way to go for every person. Howard felt that it is moral duty to let people know that there are better ways to plan.

A graduate of the University of Illinois, Howard obtained his CPA certificate in 1977. Howard has been a Personal Financial Specialist since 1992 (which is an advanced accreditation by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) as a specialist in Financial Planning. He has been a Certified Financial Planner® since 1993 and a Certified Senior Advisor® since 1999. Howard is the President of Kaufman Financial Services, Ltd. Certified Public Accountants.

Howard makes his home in Buffalo Grove, Illinois with his wife of 36 years, Pam. He has three grown children. When he’s not helping his clients save taxes, he enjoys playing in the local community band.
